It doesn’t matter what you like if the customers are buying it and paying your bills. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

I’d keep the feature open to interpretation. But even Shopify has the ability to show repeat customers. If you have a large amount of repeats then I would implement it but if you haven’t even launched yet you have other things to worry about.
Inheriting a mortgage from a grandfather is weird IMO not sure of the legal factors or what on that. How small are the rooms actually? If you give us a general layout we can go from there and get you more info. The people who rent hotel rooms long term are either broke crackheads or wealthy people who enjoy the amenities. You need to draw that fine line and profit from the wealthy. Get that bar open and host live music. Is there a pool, conference area?
“Flipping”. My niche is electronics. Knowing market value of computers, phones, etc. I would buy locally and then post online. I also have a background in IT so I buy a lot of broken devices to fix and resell and even flip broken devices without repairing them at times. This really can be done with any hobby. The downside is that I source a lot of my items locally so it’s not just limited to online. Some things also sell better or for a higher price locally than if I list them online. It’s definitely a hustle but the amount of money you can make just by buying and reselling items is ridiculous.
Why are you buying the company from your dad? Just wait for him to die and keep your money.
Without getting into too much financial detail I would recommend a younger less experienced manager. Someone who can adapt and grow with your company. It’ll be easier to train someone with less experience as you grow than to hire an experienced manager who may be set in their own ways and use to a larger volume who may get bored or frustrated.
Find what you love and understand and make the business around that. Anyone who tells you otherwise is probably secretly miserable.
I can’t imagine a business that has that kind of demand for graphic design. As others have said graphic design is typically a one time thing and then maybe once or twice a year after that.
I don’t remember exactly what it was but yesterday a guy was talking about his Cum In Eye Glasses Wear Company or something similar.
You lost me at vegan but it all depends on the demand in the area. I’d like to be able to see the cow I’m going to devour before it’s beheaded and turned into a ribeye. We have a local restaurant that gives you a “nose print” of the cow you’re eating. Realistically you’d need a lot of land to produce enough vegetables on the scale to fully sustain the restaurant. I don’t foresee you being able to produce everything yourself. Even our local farm to table restaurant outsources products from other local farms.
Not totally dumb but just weird to me. Mattress By Appointment. The fact that they’re typically in retail shopping centers but they’re “by appointment” so they’re always closed. Paying rent in an retail space to be closed the majority of the time seems odd. But the profit margins must be decent enough to support the business model.
We had one too. The only plus to it was that it had such a variety of cereal. It didn’t last long though.
How did you get into the mango business?
IMO it’s not profitable on its own. Most communities have places that take ewaste for free and for every 25 items you pick up only 1 is usually worth actually recycling. When I worked in IT we offered data destruction and recycling services for free to our contract clients. The average residential client throw away their devices rather than spend time and money to recycle them properly. Data recovery for residential clients is a much more profitable adventure and offering to recycle the device for free afterwards is a plus.
