After you leave a comment, scammers like u/Hot_Arugula_357 will reach out pretending to seek business guidance and dropping lines about million-dollar opportunities in this subreddit.
Within a few chats, the scammer moved from not being interested in a farm investing business that their purported partner was attempting to coerce them into, to having a long-standing interest, they can’t seem to decide on a lane, lol.

Same farm story here, I asked them how the forced scam labor camp is treating them
But she’s so hot! No way it’s a scam!
What is the scam though? So asked if she could DM me, using a different account but these messages start out word for word. Pretty quickly she started sending me pictures of herself unprompted, and pics of books she was reading related to investing. Then she started diving in to questions about crypto mining and when I resisted crypto and said I had zero interest In crypto she ghosted me. I assume she/they were going to try to rope me into some crypto scheme.
I see my favorite salad misspelled and Hot, I click yes.
One would do well to ignore all DM from Reddit.

r/scambait are full of these stories. Mostly on text but I also got one on DM’s here a couple months ago.
This sub needs karma and age requirements.
I have that scam in my messenger right now 🤣🤣🤣
They are very desperate 😭.
I thought they were asking questions about farm simulator 🤣🤣🤣 cause they wanted to know about raising cows and sheep I told them to buy the cow and sheep barn to get started 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh shit, I had someone reach out with the farm story. Smelled so wrong. I stopped replying.
My advice was the same: don’t go into areas you have no experience in.
I just figured they were incredibly stupid. Didn’t realize it was an attempted scam!
There’s a lot of ppl asking me to give them money to invest in their ideas off reddit. Realistically if their idea was that good and legit, they would have already found funding 😕
