I find it difficult to have content to consistently post, to keep up with all the different platforms and all the different trends while still having time to do the actual production side of my business! It’s all very overwhelming! I would love to hear what works for you!

You’ve gotta set aside a LOT of time and effort to spend at first on learning and setting up your systems. If you can find a mentor, coach, teacher or just hire a social media manager to work with you in building these, that would be great. Then once you’ve got the major part out of the way, it’s all about working your systems. It’ll become just another part of your day if you set them up well from the beginning - and if not, revise them!
IMO and as a user of social media for many years, The ROI on social media is awful. I am fanatical about knowing where my leads originate, the fact is that social is a time consuming affair and does not work for me. Maybe it’s my industry, maybe it’s because I don’t want to spam people, maybe it’s because I don’t have time to spend screwing around on social media all the time.

yea this is highly dependent on industry.
if your industry doesn’t lend itself to social media, yea doesn’t make sense.
you find the best channels and double down on what’s working like any business.
like if you look at explodingideas.co or milkroad.com they’re obviously both internet native, so social media will be complimentary.
but if you’re a lawyer doing something super niche it probably won’t be your best ROI channel.
to OPs question if your business is internet native and your audience lives on a platform you’re targeting you need to figure out a content type that is valuable to them and not wasting your time.
meaning sometimes you need to position yourself as an authority and educate them for free, sometimes it means you need to put up non promotional content.

Kitchen Units, upmarketish, I find the facebook crowd are arm and leg people, Twitter just doesn’t do it for me, I havent really tried pinterst and insta in earnest but am getting results elsewhere
Repurposing content for all platforms is the go to.
Likely finding where you get the most traction and going all in on that would also be an alternative to spreading yourself so thin.
Each platform has its own “vibe”.
For the actual content it really depends on your business. It can be how toos, answers to popular questions, updates, day in the life. Partnering with others.
ChatGPT is really good for this. You can take your business and just say “can you give me three of the most popular categories relating to /whatever your business is/ and create posts about those.
It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
Aside from that you can pay a copywriter to create and post. A virtual assistant etc.
But I would pick one and go deep.
I used to be a grant writer, but I changed my business model to help more people that are struggling with organization.
I use Hootsuite to schedule posts on all platforms. Also, the tasks are part of my manager’s job. She has it down to a 3 hour commitment per week.
I’m a social media manager. It takes a lot of time, research, and a creative eye for visual design to maintain a single social media page - let alone multiple! Between building and representing a brand, finding keywords for outreach, activly trying to get your audience to be engaged in your content and bringing in new clients… it’s a lot for a business owner to do and dedicate time to while also maintaining full operations of the business.
