[1] Graduation has nothing to do here so ignore that factor; [2] Do a thorough market research first to see if there’s an existing/close product; [3] Create a demo and collect feedback (relevant groups, Reddit is good place for that)

I can help with that. Let’s connect over DM.
In-app is the dominating mobile app monetization model with 48.2% share but still, it depends on what your product is about. For eg. having regular subscribers means you’ve a more loyal base.
PS: I’m a professional market researcher so if you need any further help, feel free to DM.
Powerpoint is fine - as a market researcher and startup/pitch consultant 99% of decks I’ve made were on PPT. My guess is that the comment you got was because the person was expecting a few animations in the slides.
What exactly in cameras - selling offline/online/both or any sort of development? - You won’t need to be hypertechnical in the first case.
Freelance market researcher, tech/article writer, and pitch deck consultant; 10 year+; have been doing everything on my own.
[1] 2 weeks is too short to come to a conculsion.
[2] Keep a track of the process and organize the outcome, split the results by consultants and students, who’s more responsive and more positive/negative, analyze the results.
[3] If the interest is upfront but no response afterwards it might be that the whole process is lengthy/complicated/missing expectations.
[4] Follow the above strategy and continue for 4-weeks
[5] Aim to connect/communicate with 100-150 prospects in this period.
PS: I’m a professional/independent market researcher and can help at any point, if you need additional guidance at any level.
What’s the use case? - the pricing is $12/hour which looks higher per my estimate. I’m an independent market researcher and startup consultant so can help (no obligation initial discussion). Feel free to connect via DM.
I’m a professional researcher and happy to help - DM your questions with some more context.
It should be specific highlighting what value it’ll bring a consumer (not praising the benefits of the products). I can suggest a few ideas over DM.
It depends on what type of web app it is. It’ll be good if you can have a tiered option in place, a basic plan with very limited features to give users a feel with a 30-day free trial for the advanced/full-fledged version.
Unfortunately most startups do this not only the new but also bigger names. Few smart ones have been even able to fool marquee investors (putting question marks on their due diligence process).
People think floating startups are like printing $$$ which in reality needs extraordinary commitment.
The approach and the pricing here cannot be a one-size-fit for all types. As a professional market researcher I’m doing this too.
Your target audience has very limited $ to spend so if you want to charge higher (and confident that you can deliver exceptional insights), then aim startups who have raised significant funding like Series A or beyond.
It depends on the stage but as a guess (I think you’re at pre-seed/seed level) you won’t need a $5,000 pitch deck. Investors prefer and in fact are now preferring more data over design.
PS: My Decks have successfully raised funds and they come in <$500 range. Feel free to DM if you need any professional help.
Take this as an opportunity but be cautious with sharing any proprietary information.
