  • What you’re experiencing is normal. Keep going. It sounds like you enjoy the building aspect of business, but the sales and marketing part isn’t exactly your cup of tea. This is the case for most people who want to actually help others. You’re probably not a pushy person, nor do you feel comfortable haggling with others. On the other hand, you love the before and after of a project. You love the smile on someone’s face when things go well.

Hang in there, and try to figure where you need to make some adjustments so you can push forward.

  • I’m not sure why you have the god curse in here. Some people want to be thorough. Some people have OCD. Some people delay actually doing what they need to do, because of fear, so they come with a million other things to do. Some people are highly competitive and have to out-do others. Some people do in fact have un-diagnosed issues.

I wouldn’t put perfectionism under a god curse umbrella. Different people have different reasons for their perfectionism.

  • Social Tradia is a legit site. They will ask you for recent stats though. I suggest reviving your account before you reach out to them. Get some viral posts going by reposting popular reels or posts in your niche.

Check your Explore page and see what is doing well - repost but give credit to the original account. If a few of your posts make it to the explore page, that will drive up engagement and make your account more valuable.

    Hope this helps!

  • I just visited your IG page. I like the color scheme and consistency with the posts. However, as someone with almost 70K followers on IG, I can tell you that people click on posts with larger letters. This doesn’t have to be the case with all posts, but it helps to mix it up.

After your following reaches about 300 people, then your posts will be eligible to hit the explore page. You want people to be able to read your posts without actually having to click on them. If a post catches their attention, they will go to your page and check other posts.

I like that you are targeting specific niches/ clients with your posts and hashtags. To grow your following quickly, comment on large accounts that your clients follow.

    Hope this helps.

I used to work in oil & gas. I still to this day stay in touch with a lot of people from the industry. Some have become friends and we all live in different states. You never know when a contact can turn into a good opportunity.

Do it, but be careful. If you are both on LinkedIn for example, that would be a professional way to connect and stay in touch.

  • To be honest, your site looks a bit dated. If someone visits your site and are not happy with it, they won’t be confident in having you manage their website.

Some of the images are not high quality.

    There’s too much white space.

The sample sites you share also don’t look very modern.

When I got to the bridal images, I was a little confused.

Overall, the site needs better structure, clearer images and a more modern look.

The good news is, if you can get it to a better place, you can make MUCH more than $250 a month for everything you described above with SEO services. Much more. If you could market yourself internally, that would bring you more clients.

    I hope this helps.

Yes, it does help. A close friend of mine is a therapist, so we schedule time to be each others’ therapist. It helps to clear your mind.

Another thing I do that is extremely helpful is taking daily walks. Get out of the house, get away from your laptop and spend time in nature.

  • SaaS is extremely lucrative. There seems to be a million SaaS companies these days. If you could build out something that would automate processes for companies doing things manually, you could make a lot of money. But SaaS can also take a lot out of you, so burnout may be a thing.

YouTube is a money machine if you can get your stride right. If I had started a YT channel at 18, I would be traveling the world more.

Since you are in tech, would you consider a tech website? If you’re a good writer, maybe start a tech blog and see how that develops??
