Sorry to say this but this is one of the most common rookie mistakes. The market is oversaturated with clothing brands that have captured the market. When launching a business you need to first do actual market research - any decisions that purely come from “your heart” will cloud your business development. Was this something based on empirical data? What’s the value you are creating? Branding is something that is the very last step of a business cycle - you can’t start with a brand and expect it will sell itself since it is a no-name business! Reading the comments, most people don’t even like the name and yet you already invested in clothing with that label.

Unless you get some viral celebrities to promote this you’re playing against all odds.

Fail fast and find a game with odds in your favor. Best of luck with that.

Genuinely curious what’s the market validation data for an immigrant/traveler social app. Immigrants can mean a lot of things - in my country they usually do low-paid jobs and certainly don’t spend any money on apps. In other countries, that may mean highly educated and talented individuals. And then you say travelers, doesn’t that imply a whole different context any of us have been in? But don’t listen to me, I automatically look down on social app startups. Maybe yours is the one to make it!

  • From what I have found, a guy that launched his own version of Tinder basically faked it till he made it…he paid actors to make up a story of how they met, they posted it and it went viral…not saying this is the way to go, but most new apps probably are “smoke and mirrors”.

What comes to my mind - offer highly limited discounts/VIP options. Add affiliate marketing features - invite a friend, get this or that. Ideally, you would already have people who have at least signed up and are just waiting for the beta to come out. An official launch builds hype - you can build a community on Discord/Twitter and make them anxiously wait to try it out before anyone else with Apple Test Flight for example. Plenty of ideas actually now that I started writing.

  • What sort of customer feedback do you get after you provide your service? Are your clients 10x happier after your service? Are they leaving a review afterwards, perhaps a quick video with their happy faces? How much do you charge them and have you tried raising prices in those 2.5 years at all - what was the response? Is the service B2B or B2C? How many clicks does your site get in a month? What’s your SEO ranking, are you building backlings? Who is your main competition and what are they doing differently form you? You’re asking us to help you but have literally provided 0 data. Business is a game of data and analysis my friend, you can’t just magically expect the world to give you that number one place. Sounds like all this time you are trying to work harder, but maybe it’s just about working smarter.
