  • Well… We could start reviewing our perception of philosophy due to the amount of external interference towards our thinking process.

    I am not saying that we are living in an era that our thoughts are guided by external factors, because in fact the human thinking has always been like that. The only difference is the amount of interference we can provoke these days.

    To be more precise we still have people producing thoughts the same way as Seneca or Aristotle, for example, but the trend way of thinking is changing and we are not aware of it because it this process takes more time than our own generation.

    Let’s consider the work that Nietzsche did. It’s easy to consider him a genius because he could see the thinking process that would take place to his generation and that’s why a lot of teachers mention his work during these days.

    To understand what I am saying it’s important to perceive the idea of social thinking. We are individuals that have individual thoughts, but we build the world around those thoughts. The concept of social thinking (I don’t know if someone has used this terminology before) is related to the combination of multiple individual thoughts. So society, as a whole, is thinking and planning its own future without noticing it. There is a living organism which is you, and a living organism which is the society.

    So… I could guess that the world is going towards a cyberpunk aesthetic, and cultures around the globe are going to perceive this aesthetic by its own perception, same with the individuals. Important topics that confirm this idea:

    • The application of A.I. in our lives;
    • Days that never end due to excessive light and cities that never sleep;
    • Interaction with technology taking the place of human interaction;
    • The constant pursuit of innovation

    And so on…

    Answering your question “where is the next ‘it’ place?” Probably Japan.

  • Well… You could try to change your perspective about “problems”. The thing here is that we are often told that problems are something that drives everyone crazy, but in most cases a problem is something that you are so used to that you don’t even think of it as a problem.

    For example: Is it a problem to wait 3 minutes for a cup of coffee? Perhaps not. But would it be better to get your coffee with just 2 minutes of waiting? In this case we don’t perceive the situation as a problem, but in contrast with a better scenario we can easily understand the first situation as a “problem” or ar leat “less better”

    With find a problem and sell the solution you look out for really small problems that everyone has or enormous problems that 0.1% of people have but are willing to pay tremendous amount of money to solve it, even if they don’t realize the problem.

    I can give you some real life examples:

    • A construction company made a mistake during the foundation process and the cost to out everything down and start again would be something around 2M. They decided to hire a specialist in the field to see what could be done. In the end the consultant gave a solution that would save months of work for just 700k. He was paid 200k for his advice.

    • In my country we often see homeless people on the street with a bottle of water and soap, a sponge, and a squeegee. They wait for the traffic light to go red and go clean some car windows to get a few bucks. Dirty windows are a common and small problem.

    • A home owner needs money to pay some medical bills but can’t manage to find someone to buy his house and that’s why he decides to ask for a real state agent to sell it for him in exchange of commission.

    In general we are always solving problems and being paid for that. The description of a job is exactly what kind of problem the business already know about and are willing to pay for someone to care of it.

    Of course a genius is born from time to time and his ability to track problems and find solutions is beyond our comprehension but we don’t need the mind of a billionaire to earn a great living using the concept of finding problems.

    Everything is a problem and nothing is a problem.

    We don’t necessarily need an iphone to call family and friends, but still we perceive the lack of iphone as being a problem, and that’s why we buy it.

    I hope it helps.

  • Well… I can speak for myself. I invest in two startups one about innovation and the other one about games. The reason behind those investment is only because I like the ideia and feel like giving it a shot, otherwise I wouldn’t be investing in it. If there is more money on the table and I have access to some specialist I would probably invest more on startups, but that’s not my current situation.

    My main income source is real state. Find investors - buy property (with the least down payment as possible) - sell small portions of the land (in a multifamily condominium) - offer the service to build the house. And that’s it… Just repeating the process. It takes some time to execute all of it but it’s worth it. I get money throught loans so there is almost no income tax. That’s the game you know…

    1. Study the concept behind this plan (Robert Kiyosaki + David C Barnett + Roland Fraiser; can give you some perspective about how I works);

    2. Find some practical scenario. Perhaps a piece of Real State that you can genuine see the opportunity, and just run throught the numbers until you make it work. Sometimes we need to take money from one place to put somewhere else in order to adjust the plan or even change negotiations;

    3. When you can see the whole process working it is just a matter of finding money to invest in your vision.

    Startups is always going to be a great option to invest it just consume a lot of expertise and time in order to give great results. If you don’t want to 15x you money in the long run, you can just find some simple investments to keep you annually cash flow high.

    One big deal can grant you with some millions just in a matter of months. Good luck on your journey 💪

  • Well… You didn’t said a successful entrepreneur so here I go 😂

    1. Failures is a good place to start this conversation because it gives me the opportunity to clarify a concept that I realized a few months ago. It is about contrast. Everything in life happens in the contrast. If there were no light in the universe it wouldn’t be dark, because darkness only exist in the contrast to light. If there were no bad in the world we wouldn’t be able to talk about good, because good only exist in contrast to bad. If there were no failures in life there wouldn’t be any kind of success, because success only exist in contrast to failure. And when I realize that I stopped living life separating my outcomes between failures and success, because it’s indeed impossible to exist one without the other. So I’ve got no big failure, only a variety of experiences with an extend amount of emotions related to each of them.

    2. Perhaps my previous answer is enough for this question. But I understand that some people might be in difficult situations in this exactly moment, and we all hates to be logic when things are fucked up 😂. So I could say that if you can’t find meaning in the pain you are suffering it’s probably because you are taking the wrong decisions. For those kind of pains it’s important to analyze your life and actions, and understand what you should change. In the other hand the pain that you find meaning is as beautiful as love could be. We tend to dislike this feeling, but to suffer with a right cause is a noble thing to the soul. We need it.

    3. One great trait that people could have is clarity. When you can see clearly you can take better actions. And it’s not about business it’s about life, business is just part of life. It’s probably a good idea to explain what I mean with “clarity” and well… It’s like watching a movie that tells ∞ stories at the same time and we can easily get overwhelmed by everything that is happening in the movie, to have clarity is to keep up only with the parts this movie that suit yours desires. And it takes some wisdom to understand that there is an infinite amount of things to be attached but most of then are not part of ourselves, so giving attention to what serves you is a great sign of autenticity. And it takes even more wisdom to understand that you are not defined by only one thing “I am entrepreneur”, probably yes, you are, but you are not defined only by that. Maybe you love botanics, or animals, or boats, or books, idk… Just have clarity to watch the movie that fits you right.

    4. I can see two kind of success in business: the one that is validated by society; and the one validated by your soul. Sometimes they are both the same, but quite often we see people making tons of money and feeling empty as fuck. It happens because you were seeking social validation and didn’t pay attention to what your souls is asking. So if you succeed in life that’s all that matters. And if entrepreneurship is a tool to fulfill your soul so be it. About my personal perspective about success on work it would be about shining at what you like doing, and doesn’t matter what, if you just do it with sparkles in your heart that’s success. Perhaps the most successful people in the business industry are those how their hearts are aligned with this social validation 🤔 so they see it like the best game in the world and not whiling to stop playing.

    These are just some thoughts about life. I hope it is a great source of insights for you. Feel free to DM if you want, and be aware that I am just a simple guy.
