It’s Harry Potter edits. She does all kinds of editing from the movies and games.
How can we monetize this? She has a linktree in her bio that is full of HP merch but after a month we got a whopping total of 2 clicks.
It’s completely faceless and I’m worried that suddenly reviewing a product might be too jarring. We see a lot of successful accounts that just post movie clips, how do they monetize?

Maybe do more intricate longer videos with a face behind it on YouTube to monetize some of the crowd over there without having to affect your current viewers.

As someone else said this is definitely a bloated market but if you can get people wanting to watch you or your wife and attach to the face behind the content then I’d definitely be way more easier to monetise on YouTube. You can also upsell during these videos or get better sponsors.
A friend is in a similar spot with wanting to monetize an existing entertainment niche, and I’ve suggest custom enamel pins. Lots of people do it, so you’re competing with a lot, but doing your own designs and small runs can have great margins. $1 each, and can sell for close to $10. Because they’re custom, noone else has the exact same ones so no price shopping.
You could start with a “free plus shipping” model to test it out and order bulk Harry potter pins from AliExpress for 50 cents each, then ship them out for $2 and build up an email list.
This answers the questions “will our customers buy this?” And doesn’t flood your home with bulky merch. The whole thing can be tested for about $50.
It’s rough with a faceless account, best bet would be sponsors reaching out to you, but also the creativity program is decent from what I’ve seen for most people if the tiktoks are 60 seconds plus. Maybe try build a youtube following too with longer videos, if successful that’s a lot easier to monetise

Without a face, it’d be hard to get consistent sponsors. Brands love personalities and people moreso than faceless and possibly ai generated content. Not all views are equal.
Best bet for OP to sell Harry Potter merch and link in bio, is constantly plugging it in the videos/slides. Though even this isn’t that enticing as the Harry Potter niche is already saturated at a glance.
Keep going regardless. Id suggest sprinkling different IPs occasionally and progress beyond a Harry Potter edit account, over time of course.

patreon is straight forward and allow to audience to give appreciation of their choice. without strings or morals from your part.
a step up from that is merchandise. the audience show the same apparition as before but get a memorabilia in return.
alternate channels like twitch.tv live stream have built in income sources built in.
then you could also do exclusive content but i wouldn’t jump there of the bat.
I am curious, Since much of her content revolves around movie edits, and you are selling HP merch, is it possible that if you become too big, that HP could come after you to cease and desist for copyright infringement.
Maybe that is your whole question of how to pivot off of that in order to monetize, sorry if it was I just wasnt clear if you were looking for how to continue doing the same, or if the whole goal is to leverage what you have built and go in another direction to monetize.
Fair Use. If it came down to court OP would likely win. If it were coming down to court, OP would probably go bankrupt and could not survive till it comes down to court. But really you have to look them in the eye stand your ground and claim fair use talk about how your work is actually free advertising for them, and protest on your Tiktok about your plight. The negative reaction from fans is what will make them back away.
Just a few ideas:
- make longer form content and post on YouTube
- reach out to SaaS companies who have editing tools and see if you can get sponsorships through them
- offer custom edits through services like fiverr or upwork
I would suggest doing affiliate marketing if that doesn’t work I would suggest selling products such as t-shirts hats, or sunglasses
