Nice detailed post. To keep it really short and light I owned a food business in New England for decades multiple employees I hear 100% where you’re coming from and most people not in business; know what you’re talking about. I hear you all the way, I would sit tight and just list it for real high number for sale, another company that does what you do will probably come by and give you a 7 to 10 year note. People used to tell me don’t worry time goes by fast but when in business when you’re working seven days a week it does not get trapped and like Groundhog Day just drags on and on. Problem with is with business nowadays even with a good moral code with your employees the rules regulation standards It’s impossible to keep up with and that’s where a lot of stress is coming from now the last 3–10 years.

What to do?English1·2 years agoI started when I was 17–18 years old I did it for 36 years and retired I work seven days a week 70 to 90 hours a week you get stuck in it addicted, you have to do many sacrifices don’t listen to others you’re married to the business if you’re not ready Just don’t do it work a lot of hours somewhere just save your money for now

I was in a Food Bussiness high volume also near a college university in New England over 30 years got out months before Covid. All I’m hearing is how the young people want minimum $15 to start so all the prices nearly doubled since I left and that’s just 3 1/2 yrs ago, one of the workers there who I had for decades she still there she said I would’ve had a heart attack by now if I was still there and that’s just from years ago
