Generally speaking, what are the best options for marketing on a small budget - specifically marketing for SAAS / Digital Products?

Pay per click and other advertising options often require substantial investment to see decent returns. What are people’s experiences with low budget options such as blogging, viral marketing, social media growth…?

I understand there are no miracles and that ‘low budget’ plus ‘no work’ equals ‘no results’. But if long term success is the goal, what strategies offer the best bang for buck?

Thanks!

It entirely depends on your target. Understanding who you’re trying to talk to will reveal where you should stack your chips. You also want to maximize face-to-face engagements. There’s so much noise right now, cutting through with a disintegrated campaign is going to be challenging, unless you’re able to have personal experiences that are relevant and valued.

Organic marketing is your only choice here which is seo, local seo, smm, content marketing that requires great efforts but pay big bucks when done properly for a lengthy period of time.

I do seo and I can assure that it is one of the best ways to market and sell any product or service.

Thanks, this makes sense. Putting out good content in lots of places is free and should, over time, result in some good traffic.

With your SEO experience, do you have any specific tips for starting out a site? I have produced a blog with the hopes of converting traffic into app downloads. I’ve just started out so any tips at all would be great. Thanks!
