It seems like every startup nowadays has a landing page that looks like Linear - dark mode, frosted glass components using blurs, outer space background, lots of gradients, etc.

I actually like this aesthetic, but when every single startup landing page looks the same, it quickly becomes boring. What do you all think? What are your favorite landing pages that don’t follow this aesthetic?

Linear famously uses very little quantitative measurement and no A/B testing.

Nah, they’re just selling the template they already have. And most people have no vision and say “something like X”, which is like everything else. Unique is just rare, unique and good even more so.

Just went through this with a customer. The shopping cart experiences all mimic Amazon because of familiarity and a larger company has clearly spent the time testing what is easiest and what works.
