Hi All,

I have a company made and have its legal paperwork done so it is a legal company.

My business is providing web development and design on monthly basis.

So client wants a website no problem they pay $150 every month.

However problem comes is that lawyers are asking me outrageous amount of money to write a contract for me in terms of what will happen if they don’t pay the monthly fee in time or miss it and some other clauses.

My question is can I start without a contract in place and generate money so I can get one in future??

Or should I get one written from the get go??? Also if they are any alternatives let me know thanks!

You don’t need a contract. If they don’t pay you don’t continue the work. That’s it. If you can’t trust your client to pay then you get a deposit to cover missed payment. Enforcing the contract costs money too.
