I built a web app for government- currently only have the one entity that helped me create it with feedback on it. Struggling to onboard more since everyone is asking for references. I currently offer a 30 day trial but am thinking about making it a full year just to get somebody else onboard so I can start bidding better. What is the general consensus on something like this or is this the worse idea ever. Thank you in advance.

    It depends on what type of web app it is. It’ll be good if you can have a tiered option in place, a basic plan with very limited features to give users a feel with a 30-day free trial for the advanced/full-fledged version.

    No, never offers a “Free Plan”, in my case when I removed the free plans on my SaaS products the revenue skyrocketed and the costs lowered a lot, for example I found 103 users on a “free” plan being the same person.

      This is not a universal advice. It depends a lot on the industry and your clients.

      In your case - you could put some obstacles for users not to be able to abuse the free plans as much.
