Wagwan bruv i’m Aaron im a Python developer, who dabbles in trading

I’m thrilled to present HeardFund to you—a trading project that’s not about selling magic beans but about logic, mathematics, and statistics at your fingertips without the complexity. As a developer who also dabbles in trading, I built HeardFund to solve a real problem: avoiding the frustration of losing good trades. Imagine spotting a move, placing your bet, only for the market to hit your stop loss and continue in your intended direction. Frustrating, right?

Problem:

Navigating financial markets is like riding a rollercoaster—complex and unpredictable. Traders constantly grapple with false breakouts, stop runs, and market uncertainties that can throw a wrench into their positions and profits.

Solution:

HeardFund isn’t just another tool; it’s your strategic advantage. Our application taps into the real-time sentiments of retail traders on Twitter, offering more than random numbers. We reveal whether the retail herds sense strength or weakness in the market, coupled with the direction they believe it’s headed. Recognizing the role of social media in shaping market sentiments, we’ve transformed this understanding into actionable insights for you.

Key Features:

  1. Live Sentiments:

    - HeardFund provides real-time sentiments from retail traders. This isn’t generic data; it’s a detailed analysis, including Motive and Direction. Gauge the strength or weakness and the upward, downward, or sideways movement in the market.

  2. User-Driven Customization:

    - Tailor your experience by selecting influential accounts—your perceived movers and shakers. Gain unique perspectives based on actual user sentiments.

  3. Trading Pair Tracking:

    - Choose the trading pairs you want to track. HeardFund keeps you informed about sentiment shifts related to your selected pairs, offering a precise and focused market view.

  4. Risk Mitigation:

    - HeardFund empowers you to strategically adjust your positions. Understand the sentiments driving the market to steer clear of common pitfalls like false breakouts and stop runs, enhancing your risk management strategy.

Why HeardFund:

Precision and Accuracy:

- HeardFund goes beyond providing data; it delivers precise sentiments in the form of Motive and Direction, enabling informed decision-making.

Real-Time Advantage:

- Stay ahead of market movements with live sentiment data. HeardFund ensures you’re well-positioned to seize opportunities and manage risks as they unfold.

Seamless Integration:

- Designed as the perfect complement to your existing trading strategy, HeardFund seamlessly integrates into your workflow, enhancing your decision-making process without disrupting your established methods.

HeardFund: Make your money by hearing the herd. It’s not magic; it’s logic.

Change the word dabbles makes you sound amateur. Replace it with passionate or something similar. Dabbles doesn’t sound like you should be building a trading tool.

But i quite like it. Can I dm you I have some ideas

Have you shown that sentiment detected on Twitter correlates to price directions? Traders are always looking for alpha but sentiment doesn’t necessarily correlate to it. False sentiment also spoofs traders to make the wrong moves. If you can’t show how to consistently make better trades, then this is just a supplemental feature on a trading dashboard on their Bloomberg or other tools.

Who is your target customer? Retail investors, or institutional? Sentiment analysis hasn’t been cutting edge for a decade and a half, it’s quite literally what first year compsci students throw together at hackathons, and positioning your product’s main feature as sentiment analysis belies a fatal lack of understanding of quantitative trading techniques

My recommendations for pitching to prospect- Reduce Text. Use visuals. Stop talking features. Focus on paint point, your solution and outcomes.
