Saw a post today about a girl being a “pet psychic” who is apparently super successful. Wondered what other examples are out there.

So far so good but I run a cruise vacation for D&D and one for Gaming/Cosplay. It’s not full time though, just a side hustle that is growing each year.
It’s super niche and ‘dumb’ to alot of folk according to some social media comments we get on ads, yet here we are lol.
How does this work? How do you partner with the cruise liner?
You probably call them up and say, “I represent the Guild of Extraordinary Voyages. We’re on a quest to forge an alliance that transcends the realms of the mundane and sails into the fantastical seas of opportunity. Your cruise expertise combined with our guild’s creative magic can craft an experience that goes beyond the ordinary. Do you accept?”
This is verbatim lol
I used to work on cruises and this stuff happens pretty frequently. We used to have a Christian gospel group charter the boat and another time it was chartered by a vitamin mlm company.
Coming this Winter!
Oh no! Our Cosplayer Cruise Has Been Transported into a Magical World!
Will this group be able to take their previous world skills, knowledge and experience and make it in this this new world? A fantastic story where who you were and who’d you’d like to be intertwine. Join the newly established Floating Iron Fortress Guild!
Omfg. I would 100% be on board (pun intended) for both of those!!!
well played lol.
Well if you do let me know! It’s at Event.Cruises
Thank you for the info!!!
My partner and a bunch of his friends would live for the war gaming cruise. And maybe there’s bars and pools for uninterested partners to hangout at 😆
If you ever need a website. Hit me up lol.
But cosplay cruise? How’d that happen?
I can’t imagine doing this with the potential for lack of wifi strength on the water. Are people even able to use their phones?
You can but most of the activities are focused on local play and titles without internet requirements. Though as of like last year the ships have Starlink and we were able to play some Valorant and FF14 pvp matches to test it out in the ships conference center. I look forward to the connection getting even better to do online stuff :)
Your just on the other end of the spectrum from the cruises where everyone takes their clothes off.
WOW - this is probably the only cruise I would ever be willing to take!
They just introduced a Cosplay Cruise for the first time as part of Comic Con Africa, it seems cool but just so far out of budget for your average comiccon attendee. I understand why it costs what it does though.
Yeah definitely pricey, part of our audience though is older and really invested in their hobbies with others. They like the ability to take a cruise as they may have normally but then enjoy the trip with like minded folk with things to do between port visits that appeal to our geeky minds.
It sounds awesome! I’d love to be able to do it myself some day.
That’s the key. You get to book a vacation & know you’ll be surrounded by people who at the very least share 1 interest with you.
I went to Fan Expo with my husband & we had a great time wandering around, but didn’t meet anyone. We hung out & then went home. I imagine if you’re staying overnight, having meals, drinks etc it’s more conducive to being social. Love this idea!
Oh wow I’d totally sign up for one of these
