You’d have to pay the location something. Why would a store owner let you take up floor space for free?

That’s the key. You get to book a vacation & know you’ll be surrounded by people who at the very least share 1 interest with you.

I went to Fan Expo with my husband & we had a great time wandering around, but didn’t meet anyone. We hung out & then went home. I imagine if you’re staying overnight, having meals, drinks etc it’s more conducive to being social. Love this idea!

I do conventions in a city across the country once or twice a year. Shipping the display, chair, signage etc back & forth is super expensive. Lots of people just buy cheap tables & chairs & a rug at Ikea then give it away or throw it in the trash at the end. So wasteful!

I pooled together with a few other vendors to rent a storage locker for our booth display. It stays out there now.
