Now that you have success, it is your turn to support those around you, especially those who have showed you genuine compassion and support during your struggle. They were likely struggling themselves but felt your struggle and offered some sort of support. By nature, support is offered to those struggling by those in a more stable position. I also think it causes an existential crisis for people when they see friends around them succeed. Will I be successful? Am i satisfied with my life? what am i doing to achieve my goals? they recede . Also, from the outside looking in , it often appears the sucessful person becomes occupied with their own success and forgets about those around them - they focus on the business, always talk about the business, mood/ attitude doesnt match the room, caught up with their ego and not in hearing what others are saying, lack empathy. This results in the friends distancing themselves or just being in a state where they don’t really know how to interact with you. Take the unique opportunity of your position to hear them, help them, and even bring them along.
