I think your approach is sound. Anything you can draw on from an attitude and habits category that aligns with attitude and habits that a ‘bookkeeper’ is perceived to need will be helpful. Such as, attention to detail.

To avoid specific tip offs, you can say something like “yea, back when I was doing x I started to realize I had a higher level of attention for detail than others. That combined with my love of numbers led me to moving into bookkeeping.” You might also want to weave into that story something about integrity.

Like I said, the approach is right but it will all be in the details.

Sheet rocking /dry wall plaster / compound / mud. (so many names for it.) If done wrong, it can add time and expense to the painter, if done right it saves time and really can look nice. You can start small with patching, if the painting company doesn’t cover that.
