I have one employee, trying to add another but don’t have my shit together for it (need to go after funding). She’s great, but I’m still pushing most of the business
We have biweekly house keeping, added that this September. A big one is suppers though. My wife is off a bit earlier so still does the bulk of the cooking but I need to/want to get in the habit of doing more of it. Issue is being prepared to get home early ect.
How did you scale back? I guess it’s more of a question about what you do
I wouldn’t. You could offer to pay it put of her remaining wages if she’s into that, she might value something like that. But you’re not in the wrong for not paying it. Most company’s, depending on the size of the training, have clauses that the employee has to pay for the training if they quit within x months from taking it.
Agree on the effects of not getting exercise. I lose focus and have a pity party with myself.
I live in a small city, we have 3 squash courts but two are at the ymca where the drop in is $15/day for the whole gym and there isn’t a squash only price, so we end up using the beat up court on the arts campus.
But still, super fun time.
Perfect week: hockey Sunday, spin bike Tuesday, Pump (strength cardio mix) and Squash Wednesday, spin bike Thursday.
Reality though is work and family interfere with that more often than not.
Labor, to grow I need an intermediate+ DBA as that’s the work I’m spending most of my time doing and my more junior staff can’t do. But they’re going to be $75k-$90k here and I don’t think I have enough work to make that profitable. Tires of being stuck in that middle ground of needing help but not being able to afford it.
Leave me tf alone buy one get two free (services business enjoying the relative calm)
I don’t answer my phone anymore. If it’s important they’ll text or email. I hate getting stuck on a random cold call. Linkedin I accept most requests but don’t reply to the messages. Email usually just ignore too.
I don’t get your volumes but I get enough to be irritated. Feel bad for sales people, thankless job, but I’m not interested in pitches. If I’m looking for something I’ll ping you.
A guy sent me an email with an embedded video where he was looking at my website. I didn’t watch the video but I did give him the courtesy of a polite rejection. Better than most get.
