That’s an interesting take. You’re referring to the idea generation stage as to what your business will be doing/making. Are you saying that people who don’t yet have an idea what their business are asking these type of questions right at the beginning?

Happy to provide more insights/feedback through direct message if needed. It sounds like you are trying to figure out a lot at once.
I would need more background information before being able to answer this question. Did you get permission to crawl through the inboxes? Is this ethical/legal?
Seems like there would be ethical issues there. Legal possibly.
I am personally not too crazy about adding everyone you have worked with to a CRM. It is very sales-y and can be off putting. You are supposed to obtain permission before adding anyone to a CRM.
I would honestly start with your LinkedIn connections, work down the list to connections you had a good connection/rapport with over the years (even if it was a connection of a connection) and combine that list into one. Even then, it is good practice to obtain permission to add them to a CRM.
WisdomMultiplier@alien.topBtoEntrepreneur•We offer too many IT consultancy services. How can I reduce these?English1·2 years agoI read another post of yours. I definitely would take some time to do some market research on those services, industries and target markets.
I would make a list of what you guys do the best and make a list of the market for each product. Is this service needed? By whom?
Then I would connect the two lists and see where those areas overlap.
I appreciate that you are encouraging others not to be discouraged/doing too much based on their fears and insecurities. Not knowing what they are getting into can be scary.
I feel like it is important to mention that people should be researching the target markets, industry and whether there is a market for their product/service. It’s important to see where your product/service would solve problems and address those pain points. This should be one of the first steps someone thinking about starting a business should do. This will minimize the fear of the unknown, reduce wasted money and time, and reduce (reduce not eliminate) the risks.
