definitely some value in this post. gaining traction as a startup or a new business can be difficult paying for ads can help solidify the idea or cause you to pivot.

not sure what kind of budget you have but I currently work for a lead generation software company that uses AI to scan the internet for people actively searching for your product or service (set with parameters) I’ve only been here for a short stint but the product is very well put together. if of interest give me a dm.
I’m just curious how long it would take to learn enough code to even have a shipped pilot. I wouldnt mind having a technical founder as well but I am just unsure I will find anyone who has the same passion as me in the area I am trying to go. I will definitely shoot you a dm though thank you!
not exactly sure how far you need to get to just build an MVP but there are some good apps/websites out there than can help build apps. websites like softr can build you a landing page or a website in like an hour or two connecting other apps as well can help expand the capabilities look up no code apps on youtube I’m trying to learn myself.
how does someone like myself who does not know any code but wants to have a business in the software/AI space get to a point of being able to code a software good enough for even trial? I feel like it would take multiple years right? is it possible to just get to a basic understanding and even know some technical things but not know everything and still be a founder?
I like the thought of offering it as an api or even repurposing, many startups pivot and their code gets used for something else. generating some traction though is always a good sign, people are looking cant give up now!
random idea not sure it will solve your problem completely but may generate more revenue to continue. Find a way to partner with the streaming sites that have the movies. When someone uses the website or app they can have the option to hit watch and be directed to the streaming site that has the movie or be asked to. maybe even directed to where they can rent it. Maybe those streaming sites would pay for traction like that.
I am kind of in the same boat as you. I am in the works of the beginning of a startup idea. I personally am trying this for the first time and I am slowly realizing that reaching out to potential customers is a must. It not only helps generate interest for your product but also helps tailor your product to actually meet a need in your customer base. Landing page, mvp, product is the way I see it. But have to get word out first.
definitely do not think you are doomed, if you can build a product for an industry you do not care about you can definitely build one for one you do.
