It seems to me that people are willing to pay more for things the want vs. things they need.
That being said, I live in northern MN and I have strongly considered buying a couple of sherps to rent out. They’re not street legal so you’d have to either
A: deliver them yourself on a trailer
B: rent them a trailer along with the sherp.
Since many people are not proficient with the operation of a trailer (not to mention loading/securing the vehicle for transport), option A seems the more sound decision but would involve a LOT more time.
Also, I’m a trained diesel mechanic so I could maintain them myself- not everyone has that advantage.
Sherps are expensive, and trailers are expensive. But I suspect you could lease both. Still, even leasing, probably gonna cost $250k or more to get set up.
