Do you trust the ‘guy’? If he holds up to scrutiny, why not invite him to a call and ask everthing about it?
In my experience there’s a lot of bullshitting. When you do outrreach, always ask ‘whats in it for them?’. Cold doesnt mean generic, it should be focussed on something specific. I do outreach but hyperfocus on the value you can give then (is X of interest to you?) and make your CTA smaller. A call is a leap, start small and ask for permission to send something over.
Are you both in the roles that are best for you? Do you get energy from sales?
