They bought a floor scrubber for the warehouse when the floor had never been scrubbed ever. Fresh paint, and repaired sheet rock. Money spent when it never had been spent before.
It did sell and they did not tell anyone until the deal was done. And then a bunch of important sales people left. I got out before this.
If I get bad product from a vendor, ask for the credit. They either get it back or it goes into the dumpster, their choice.
No credit, time for a new vendor especially if you have an approved sample

Video guy pitched me over a very nice lunch in Sarajevo. Small market though likely not comparable. He had one good idea, we gave him another. We also had a mandate to hire local talent. I listen to sales pitches though, you never know what you might learn.
