1 year agoHair salons have gone insane with pricing the last few years. People are feeling taken advantage of and are tired of paying hundreds of dollars more for the same service as they got before the pandemic, then being expected to tip $80-$100 on top.
Same with restaurants.
It’s not the material costs. Those have barely increased. It’s all the salon “business gurus” on social media telling everyone to charge more money because they “need to know their worth.”
Now greedy/gullible stylists are paying the price. You can only increase prices so much before customers leave, often out of spite.
