Lol, no I’ve never tried. But I have a Bachelors degree in Accounting and have been preparing taxes for years. Just have them update their withholding forms & take out the FICA taxes on their check.

If someone wants to file exempt, you can’t just refuse it. It’s not illegal, but you refusing to not to do it because you want to be lazy is illegal. They still have to pay FICA taxes, but employees can file exempt on the state and federal level if they don’t expect to have any tax liability. And no, that is not a 1099. I highly suggest attending a small business course before you find yourself facing legal action from employees that know the law.
