  • I have started a few business and as a rule family is supportive to a degree and then that’s it, (your husband should be different, but that’s on him), I would reach out to other people who you know have drive and are generally supportive and also local business networking places.

Trust your instincts when it comes to photos, remember they can always be changed, give your website creator a set of photos and tell them you want to go with these initially, just to get things of the ground, then tell them you may want to change these in the near future and check the fees, or try to make them commit to no extra fees to do this. Just don’t change logos and branding colours too much, this can look unprofessional and confusing but photos are fine.

As for your anxiety about getting off the ground this is actually quite normal, even the biggest entrepreneurs will have this when starting off something new but they won’t admit it or show it outwardly, some people have recommended some books on here that’s a great place to start, there are so many out there and that’s for another chat but you can google this for specific things you want to learn, I’m no reader so I use Audible.

Good luck, I wish you all the best, if you want a pacific advise you can always Dm.

  • Where are you based if in the UK there are terminals that don’t charge any processing fees on tips, if this is an issue for the restaurant and they are happy as long as they don’t get charged processing fees (assuming you’re in the UK) I’ll be happy to help with implementation, just Dm me and I’ll we can arrange a meeting with your management

  • Yeah October is definitely slow, people will start to X-Mas shop from about now, can you hold up until after January to see how the Christmas and January sales go? Also are you selling online? Remember your market online is global. Promote online and even stick a link to your business on here, I’m sure that there are people reading this post that will be Christmas shopping for family, and rather help someone independent out.
