It really depends on WHO your potential customers are…

Trying to make a sale to another company is different from trying to sell to consumers.

Have you outlined, even at a high level, your ICP? What pain points does your product solve? What type of transaction (B2B, B2C, B2G) are you aiming to have? Do you have a pulse on your anticipated sales cycle? Have you gotten some validation from your anticipated ICP?

Some things for you to consider but the overarching theme is…have you spoken to prospective customers?

it’s B2C, I aim to sell to demographic between 14-35 it is a robot like product that you can physically have in your house, talk to, ask to do simple things such as Turing on electronics, send messages make a playlist based on your fav singers for an occasion such as a funeral or when you are just working in seconds, ig the possibilities are endless, most kids at my uni have fun with it and can’t wait to have their own. ig that would be the only validation I’ve got for my product and not a single person who has used it, hasn’t had their minds blown.

As a CEO you need to be able to sell your own product, that’s the bottom line. I’d recommend working on your pitch and doing some homework. A founder who can’t even pitch their own product won’t go very far imho.

At some point you could hire a freelance sales resource. If you compensate well you can get some good talent. If you do some commission-only thing you’ll struggle to find even bottom of the barrel candidates. Sales jobs are a dime a dozen these days and top performers get their pick of the litter.

You could also look into taking on a co-founder or Senior level person who has those skills. Like a VP of Growth type role.

Congratulations on creating your product and taking the necessary steps to protect it! With $10k, consider starting with social media marketing and influencers to build initial hype. Focus on your target demographic, 14-35, as they’re active on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Create engaging content showcasing your unique product’s capabilities. Start small, iterate, and reinvest any early profits into marketing to gradually expand your reach. Best of luck with your innovative robot product! 🤖🚀

The first question you need to ask yourself is who is your intended audience.

What do you know about them? What problems do they have that they’re searching for and your product solves? Where do they usually hang out?(what websites can you target)

Do some user research about how and when they buy, use that to your advantage

Did u tested your product with users and did you pass the checkmark for launching product? There is a serious steps that you need to fill in before you actually go to market. I don’t wanna disappoint you, but it will be super hard to have revenues no mater how good marketing you take. You didn’t introduce your product in early stages and that what brings customer, so you don’t have to spend money on doing crazy marketing campaign. I am writing this based on experience because some of my clients went trough same shit because they were stubborn.

Who is your target customer and try to get in front of them as quickly as possible. If it truly provides value to them, they will be willing to provide feedback immediately.
