Hi everyone, I have a large network of experienced Virtual assistants that are in several fields such as digital marketing, clerical work, data entry, lead generation, graphic artists, social media marketing and management, web developers and e-commerce.
I want to start up a company where I can connect these people with companies, individuals, and entrepreneurs that will benefit from having members in their team that possess these skills.
I just don’t know how to label the company. I already have a name. And I think I will be decorating the website more towards potential clients. But what am I? Am I staffing agency? Recruitment agency? Digital Service provider? Digital Staffing Agency?
Or something else? It might sound like stupid question to some.
Business model is “Marketplace” if that is your looking for. Similar to fiver or upwork which connects different skills to different needs as freelancers but for your case its same body shopping these people and getting commissions per person or project if your managing them at which level to monetise it and provide add on service’s like billing etc.
You’re whatever you want yourself to be - if you’re asking such questions it means you need to go back to the drawing board and research and plan.
Who are your competitors? What are a few personas of what your ideal clients are? What problem do you solve that they would be willing to pay you to solve, and why is it unique or better than alternatives? Who are your early adopters?
You can market yourselves as any one of those, research which one has the best odds to reach your vision and try it, and if it doesn’t work keep changing things and trying different things until you find something that does
This isn’t an important decision. Where are people going to see this label? Is this for filling out your LinkedIn company profile? Just select “Human Resources” for now and move on. You can change it later.
When it comes to the verbiage on your landing page, you’ll want to focus less on labels and more on the problem/solution based narrative from your customers perspective.
Agency
