I started a Flooring/Contracting company in 2021. The past two years have been suprisingly successful and thus we’ve built up some solid reviews and word of mouth “marketing”.
I want to grow. I want to expand. I want to turn this into a million dollar company and sell it. I’m looking for advice on how to do so.
Business is set up as a single member LLC. I have a reliable net of subcontractors.
It isn’t the best time for loans, so I want to do as much as I can with cash. Unless someone recommends otherwise.
The only marketing I’ve done for the business is via a self made WordPress site. Don’t pay a penny. I know hiring a marketing firm can be hit or miss, some providing a lot of value, others even reducing value for your business. Any recommendations?
Consistently receiving 2-8 leads per week and have a close rate over 70%. Most of my clients are smaller to average sized jobs. Any advice on how to appeal to wealthier clients?
Any insight would be much appreciated. Like I said, I want to make this company take off and hopefully sell. Thanks for your time.
Content is king. Buying ads with poor creative will cost a lot more and provide far less results. Invest in a local freelance videographer to specifically produce some ad creative content. Make sure you design landing pages specific to the ad offering you’re running. Lastly, make sure you track absolutely every lead. We’ve migrated a large portion of our contractor and sub clients to CallRail because their form and call tracking works extremely well (at a small scale and at a large scale (250k+ mo ad spend.
Additionally, join as many of the local builder groups as you can, ABC is national with many local chapters. Depending on where you are, you can also join local groups.
The contractor space is extremely tight knit and building a brand that stands out is key but doesn’t happen overnight. The content and the networking will help you get there faster. One of the pieces that helped us grow our brand even more rapidly is that we bought a truck, used our design team to create a highly recognizable wrap, and now frequently get calls from contractors.
Good luck and keep growing!
