I own a 2 car, detached garage with space above it that could be turned into an apartment (ADU) behind my home.
It has access to water and electricity.
I tried putting it on neighbor.com and got a request the second day it was up from some guy that I got weird vibes from when he visited so I deleted the listing lol. Claimed he wanted to store boxes and I think a car.
I’m never going to use the space for anything at this point in my life.
I need some ideas on how to make some dollars from it.
Maybe you can turn it into multiple storage units, perhaps 8? Work out what size each would be and then see what nearby storage units of similar sizes cost per week/month. You might find that is a more profitable use of the space than a residential dwelling, as well as much lower build out costs.
There are no doubts some potential hurdles that you’d need to do your due diligence on, but that applies to other options as well.
