So I’ve started making websites, and the niche that I’ve picked is fitness, and mainly fitness coaches. Started using linkedin, it’s been 2 weeks since I joined linkedin, tried to get clients but haven’t been able to close even 1. I know few people who are fitness coaches, made a website for them for free. I told one of them on linkedin that there was a issue on their site, they were like yeah I’ll fix it. I made a design for them and sent, saying hey take a look this might help, they were like yeah I’ll fix the issue. That’s it. Do I need to change the niche, or these trainers are not willing to pay cause they are happy with in person training. I don’t understand, many experts on here. Kindly let me know what should I try.

Don’t want to disregard you in any way, but personal trainers might not be the niche for web development. It usually is going to be a one time thing when you create them a website and that’s it. Usually this business goes through Instagram or other social platforms, since it’s important for them to show real life examples and happy clients.

A use of a webpage should offer some benefit other than being only informational. Maybe a use of a booking calendar, but even then, the benefits in this case might not get you much things to work on or upkeep on the site, thus not going to be worth your time too much to reach out to personal trainers.

Just my opinion, if you believe it’s worth your time, go ahead and do it! There still most probably are services that focus on coaches and trainers, but might be a tough industry to keep afloat.
