Not a name, but the Sherwin Williams slogan “Cover the Earth“ with a logo of red paint being dumped onto the globe is truly one of the most bizarre and tone deaf slogans I’ve ever seen. I will never understand how it’s still actively being used.
Duuuuude! I’m a designer - I just showed this logo to my crew the other day and we were all just like WTAF??! It’s so wrong on so many levels. And apparently is has (d)evolved into this version over the decades.
Crunchy hippie chick I met in San Francisco was going on about how SWP Sherwin Williams paints was dog whistle for Supreme White Power and the logo was whitewashing the whole world. No idea any truth there but it makes the logo make more sense.
