I own a new carpenter services business (custom furniture and installing of furniture) and would like to hear your ideas on marketing possibilities. In my country a lot of locally established carpenters do almost no marketing as they are fully booked out just from word of mouth. Im searching for ways to help get more clients without seeming needy since worry people might associate that with bad work or maybe thats just me? Any thoughts and suggestions appreciated!
Well there is a farily simple procedure to it if you want i can help you out.
Leverage Google My Business Listings!
People especially in a blue collared trade ignore this!
Also, u don’t sound desperate when doing cold outreach! You’re providing value and getting paid in return!
Hey! I’m a social media manager who specializes with contractors. Feel free to send me a DM and I can take a look at your website and social media pages (if you have any) and give you some advice to get you on your way! Cheers!
Take your furniture to furniture shops and offer them a cut to stock your product.
Call Interior designers and try to build a partnership with them.
Create content for social media.
Talk to auction houses and show them your pieces, they can list your items.
Door knock wealthy neighbourhoods and leave a flier with photos of your work.
Take photos and sell on Facebook marketplace.
Build a website and try to rank for custom made furniture related keywords in your town/city.
Send furniture to content creators who can review it and get you exposure.
Talk to businesses who sell home/homewares products that aren’t competing with your product that have fancy showrooms - they would love to have beautiful furniture in their showroom and their clients have the money to buy it.

I would network with others at industry focused events (Eventbrite)

Perform work (nothing too costly) for a local influencer with a large following (50k followers or more). All you would ask in exchange is a promo post with you tagged so others can contact you. Maybe you make a custom chair for a local musician and title it “a throne for the king of pop music in X city / country”. Then others will naturally click your profile and see all the work you do. Or maybe you make a mini ramp for a local skate boarder. Things of that nature.

Partner with complementary businesses. Reach out to painters, plumbers, interior designers and the like and explain to them how if any jobs come up where your expertise is needed you are willing to provide a kick back (Ex. 10% for all jobs referred).
here’s a video with a few other ideas, hopefully one sparks something you can run with
