Hello everyone!

How the heck should I go about getting my first customers for my design subscription service?

I just founded a digital design subscription service called Marketing Optimism. We are up and running with a clean website but are lacking customers! How should I approach finding the right people who might be in need of our awesome service without using paid ads?

I really appreciate all your time and feedback.

Thank you so much, Cooper

I have been successful of selling my services by contacting my network, people working in companies, and asking them if they are interested or can help me to get in touch with their colleagues. This is easiest way to find first customers. However, if you don’t have the network - then it is hard and I am currently trying to scale as well.

Whatever you can do, just do it. Out of 1000 people you reach, at least you have 1 customer. Then go reach out to 10000 people, you will have 100 customers for yourself.

Go sell something! Show it off call people post on LinkedIn(or applicable social platform) do demos etc etc. go hustle. The whole build it and you will have customers doesn’t happen. Go hunting.

Social media marketing, highly recommend Pinterest to show of your design skills & reach your business clientele. Also writing blog posts or articles on Medium, sharing your insight in your trade, discussing the development of your product/service.

Thanks for taking time to respond! How much money do you need to get started in SMM? I’ve heard that if you’re not putting in enough money on your ads it’s not worth the time or effort.
