As the title says, I am considering a business around origami. I make really cute little boxes out of paper, and origami flowers. I’m thinking something like personalised boxes of sweets, or little boxes with origami flowers inside, made to match the wedding’s or party’s theme colours. I can even make animals and other things to add a special touch if the customer wants it, like cats for a cat lover.

I’m just floating this to get an idea of how viable something like this would be. I’m considering getting a little thermal printer to print customized stickers and labels, so I can add names or other personal touches to the favours. I’d be grateful for any tips or suggestions to improve the general idea more. TIA!

Time consuming work that will not scale. For a commodity product that is unlikely to be priced at breakeven for the overhead. Sold to strangers that have nothing better to do than pay you for, well …whatever pops into your head.

No market research. No target customer. (Partygoers doesn’t qualify). For something you’re just going to take a fling on blind. Plus the added cost of printer supplies.

    Yeah …no.
