I am photographer and have a client who I shot product pictures with. He called me right after the shoot that he needs the pictures asap. It was Friday. I told him it will be done within a week because I have another projects to finish and this one is in a queue. Then he texted me he needs just a few within 3 days and I replied that he needs to pay extra if he needs express delivery.

I received loooong message about how this is not right, he doesn’t have budget and how could I even ask for extra money from him. I explained to him, it’s normal practice and I already provided everything he paid for and this is something extra.

Then I sent him preview he was supposed to choose 10 pictures from and he said ironically if I can advise him which pictures are good or if it’s for extra charge too. Also he keeps telling me details about his low budget that are irrelevant for me.

How would you continue communication with such a client?

“These are all good photos. I advise you choose the photos that will work best for your purpose.Rotation and extra space on a certain side so the text for the advertisement can be added in a certain way, page placement, other such factors are things that would make one photo better than another for one situation but worse for another.
