My Black Friday/Cyber weekend is going horrendously bad. Down 60% from last year, that bad.

It’s giving me vomit inducing anxiety as I brought in extra stock for this sale and now it’s gonna be hell to pay them off.

I know it’s late but is there anything I can do to turn it around?

I’m not sure it’s just you or Shopify. I have the same sale yearly on photography calendars and am down 70%+ so far.

Live in an affluent town and my calendar sales have grown year over year for the past 10 years but plummeted this week.

I did 230 calendars in 2022 and so far am at 35…

What’s the error? You can change back to three page checkout in the settings of your theme in the customiser.

She said it would go to a white page with error and a 15 digit code. I switched back to 3p after her call and that went smoothly

The one page checkout is a game changer. Always monitor and test before big sales. Clear out old inventory instead of buying big for BF. There’s still time and there’s still plenty of opportunity in the next 30 days.

dude a sale is a sale… you can just blast out your extra inventory for the same pricing that it would be on black friday via a newsletter. And it’s not cyber weekend, it’s cyber WEEK. Cyber monday starts… MONDAY.

Feel free to boycott box stores but try not to kill your local shops. They are the ones that need the customers.

I’m a newer shop and new to shopify. Didn’t notice the shipping was set to a default “Economy” price instead of going by weight.

Was so excited to get a bunch of sales Thursday/Friday…only to realize too late that people were only charged $4.90 shipping for all orders even when they bought several items. 😬

You could have made a few ultra cheap doordash, just to create fomo next year. I seen a gun shop doing 70% off one year: they had lineups years after, just in case. It was crazy

There’s a way to revert back to the old Shopify checkout. It’s in the theme customize settings. Do this right away!

60% is a bit much but it’s universal as many have been laid off and people are spending wisely rather than impulsively … you can make up for your mistakes with cyber Monday and boxing day

If you really need to turn some products into cash, list them on eBay with “overstock sale” in the titles. Sometimes it’s just about recouping money so you can make wiser decisions next time.

Sorry that Shopify is messing things up for you!

Here in the US, several large companies also do Cyber week and not just Cyber Monday…. It’s not too late!
