Hi to all of you.

I’m currently creating a business plan for a company named AppCraft as part of a school assignment. AppCraft strives to provide user-friendly applications, serving users who desire customized apps—from useful utilities to games.

Regarding budgeting for this school project, particularly with regard to development costs, low-budget marketing tactics, and accounting for unforeseen costs, I would really appreciate your help. Your advice will be very helpful in developing this business plan. I am grateful for your help!

Chose a specific target market segment. That will drive your marketing and pricing, greatly simplifying your business plan. For example, AppCraft is aimed at creating solutions for mid size credit unions in the US. Something specific like this lets you work out how to get a list of mid-size credit unions and a couple different ways to reach them (sales team, email marketing, conferences, etc). If you leave it wide, AppCraft sells application to anyone with a wallet, then you it’s not clear at all how you would find these people in a repeatable way, nor is it clear that any two would have consistent problems and budgets.

    Hope that helps.
