Looking to start another business and brainstorming a little tipsy on this thanksgiving night on what I can start.

If you’re in a big or trendy city (Austin, Brooklyn, NYC, Atlanta, Miami, etc) or are just plugged in, what are some new businesses popping up that have caught your eye, for example a few years ago a hub/co-working area would be one or a ghost kitchen or a ramen restaurant.

I’m in a (big)small town and things tend to trickle down here so it’s hard to tell what is popping up in larger cities.

Hope everyone’s had a great Turkey and hopefully had the day off!

Donuts. Pink Box Doughnuts- seen in Las Vegas. Voodoo Donuts- seen in Phoenix. Maybe I’m late to this, but new to me. Sexualized, funny, raunchy donuts.

Right? Fat margins on cheap dough, deep fried and decorated with sugar. Throw in a naughty theme, double the regular going price, sell merch.

Yep, different fancy donut brands/franchises popping up everywhere- reminds me of the fancy cupcake craze that raised prices on them too.

Dude, the new trendy business is exactly where you DON’T want to be.

Unless you like competition popping up all around you and your margins getting squeezed… do not start a new business unless you actually have a great ideas or super high quality offering with some kind of moat.

I’m in a town of a few hundred thousand so the idea is that this new business idea doesn’t exist here. It proves concept in larger cities and I’d be the first where I live before competition shows up

Still just Delta-8-9-10 whatever SmOke ShOP brick&mortar popping up in the pico ends of the local strip mall. Nothing else. Just these places racing each other to the bottom, quarter after quarter.
