I’m a 29F introvert managing a business, and I’ve worked on this for 5yrs+ without showing my face or meeting >85% of our customers, and quite frankly, much less than a dozen people have asked for any form of facial recognition. However, two of my mentors have recently told me at different times to consider putting a face to the brand. I respect them and hold their counsel dear; however, I do not see any reason why this is necessary. We’ve positioned ourselves well in our service-based industry and our results speak for themselves. I understand that we will need to do some things differently as we grow. But is this part of it? Or am I missing something here?

A face to a brand can be a good thing and can be a bad thing. If you sell you limit what they can do without you and if you have a personal issue that can then be more public than you want. If it’s working without I would make the brand the thing that drives sales not you
