It seems like every startup nowadays has a landing page that looks like Linear - dark mode, frosted glass components using blurs, outer space background, lots of gradients, etc.
I actually like this aesthetic, but when every single startup landing page looks the same, it quickly becomes boring. What do you all think? What are your favorite landing pages that don’t follow this aesthetic?
the internet in general has become a very boring place. i think generative AI is going to make it even more boring. there are some artists out there working on keeping the internet exciting, but they’re not the ones with all the institutional capital behind them.
I agree. I remember about 10 years ago when learning some basic three.js thinking wow, the internet will be full of 3D experiences soon. Never happened. A lot has changed allowing for easier to create 3D experiences and browsers that can handle it much better. I wonder if we’ll start to see more of them. What do you think?
