Paychex charges me $58 per week for payroll for 3 employees plus myself. does anyone know about how much it’d cost me at adp or another place? I don’t need anything complex at all, it’s a simple small moving company.
We charge by the month at Justworks with the following rates:
$50 for the company
+$8 dollars per employee per month
Total for the month would be $82 dollars. Wouldn’t matter how often you pay. https://www.justworks.com/payroll
I use square payroll, $40 a month + $6 per employee. Heard good things about gusto and 7 shifts too.
not sure if it’s feasible, but I remember working at one place and we changed from weekly to biweekly and cut our expenses in half. Most people can budget well enough for that, and it’s 1 million times better than a monthly paycheck. At my own company and now I do semi monthly, every first and 15th. Paychex still seems expensive, but I would not want to process payroll weekly on top of paying a weekly fee.
Onpay is really great. It’s like $50/month for 5 employees.
My accountant is charging me $40 month for 4 people.
Patriot Payroll, recommended by my CPA
Medlin payroll is $79.00 a year. I’ve used it for several years and have no complaints.
I talked Paychex down to $25/ payroll (as advised by my CPA — they don’t care about how much you pay, the sales person just needs people to sign on), and I run payroll every other week. Pretty dang affordable I’d say.
Talk to your rep and see if they can lower it at all. I called last year and got mine down to $37 a pay period for five employees
Just left Paychex. Switched to Gusto. It’s so much better.
I suggest you look into the pricing pages of some payroll providers. Nowadays, there are many alternatives to ADP. You can start by checking out this link: https://www.getontop.com/pricing
TimeTrex costs $30 per month for up to 10 employees.
https://www.timetrex.com/pricingI use Gusto, and it looks like Gusto pricing will save you money over what you are paying now. My sister uses ADP for her company and she says it’s a bit more expensive.
For me, Gusto is basically zero work and the switch was super easy. I have never had better support than when I had questions for Gusto. However, I just happened to switch over at the end of a quarter and found out that makes for a much easier switch compared to mid-quarter. If you like you can use my referral link and we both get $100 - https://gusto.com/i/dale545
