I’m curious what types of businesses people own out there and what way people get creative about optimizing their cash in vs cash out cycles.

I have two services companies, one in tech one in healthcare. There have been some good ways I’ve crafted I’m happy to share, am also curious what others do.

    B2B revenue augmentation for technology companies -> for this one we collect alongside our partners so they’re not reaching into their pockets to pay royalties, comes right from customers. In turn we pay out qtrly commissions so have an avg 60-day lead there. Holding > cash helps us scale. Spent a little figuring out the model but hasn’t had any cost to ramp.

    B2B clinical operations augmenter -> we charge for labour ahead of working and the contractors are paid the 15th after month end, and we actually bill & collect and disburse end of month so have lead time there as well. When scaling it creates float. Avg working capital lead is 45 days here.

    I’ve helped various friends use their own company as capital machines when before they were going broke trying to scale. There are ways to do it, not always, but sometimes. Fun to hear ideas for inspiration.

      How do you guys charge ? We do billing, admin, sales gtm for multidisciplinary, sports injury, physical therapy. We do a smaller amount ahead of time to cover labor and a % of revenue as it’s collected. We bill & collect and distribute out.
