Hi, I wanna start a meal prep business in Las Vegas and needed some general advice.
I have my own menu that I believe sets it apart from other meal prep.
I had/have plans of running it outa my home in the beginning, until I can afford a business space. I just don’t know where to go from here. How do I start? Do I need insurance? I just don’t know where to begin from the business aspects. Any and all advice is appreciated
I’m pretty sure you can’t run a commercial kitchen out of your home. Getting FDA or whoever approval to sell food items is a labyrinth - I’m not a paperwork guy, admittedly, but just the process seemed daunting to me when i went through it with a client just before the pandemic. I’d look into “commercial kitchen” rental spaces. They’re pretty turnkey and have done the legwork for you.
I didn’t know that was a thing. I’ll look into it see how much it costs
