I’m 18 and trying to start a window cleaning business, and I’ve asked a bunch of small business owners about how to get started. I’m getting a lot of different advice and opinions, so I figured I’d get some more light shone on the subject here. Starting out should I go under the table, only accepting cash payment, and then going over the table and getting licensed, insured, etc. if/when it starts growing, or should I do that now? I’ve also done research on the different business structures and everyone’s telling me to start it as an LLC, but that’s pretty expensive where I’m at. Would it be more beneficial to do that than to start it as a sole proprietorship? Appreciate any advice y’all have for this dumb kid, thanks!
Hey buddy,
-
Start as sole proprietorship
-
Watch door to door sales training videos on Youtube (look up Josh Lester’s cleaning sales videos)
-
Go knock on at least 100 doors a day
-
Make $$$
All the best,
