I had a contractor i was working with but he ran out of jobs for my company, i do anything block related including foundation repair… its been hard getting new customers. I’ve tried angis list but they taking all the money, I’ve handed out over 1000 flyers, not even a referral from my old customers I’ve worked with… any recommendations? ALSO I HAVE NO BUSINESS CREDIT, how do i get some loans?
This is going to sound rough but here it goes.
Have you considered that maybe your work isn’t good?
I’m not sure where you live, but in most places there is a severe lack of skilled labor for any sort of construction work. You’re luck to even get a call back from some of these places. There’s 2 things that I see in your post.
-
A contractor “ran out of work for me”. Is that actually what happened, or were they unhappy with your work and stopped using you.
-
“not even a referral from my old customers”. Are you old customers unhappy with your work?
What does your Google listing look like? Feel free to DM it to me.
- Honestly after our last job he said that was it they dont have anymore work. I’ve heard people around them saying the owner is bipolar and hes going on a downward spiral to lose his company
- They were all happy with our work, our employer would call them and they had great things to say about my work
- For the listing im not sure i just paid to have google post me but had no traction… brycome.com is my website(still under construction)
- I need loans to get an excavator, and trailer but most importantly advertisements/getting more leads

I wouldn’t waste your time on stuff that is online. Websites and social media can be a massive waste of time.
The very best thing you can do is when you do a job over deliver it to the max. Make sure your work is awesome at a great price. Go way beyond what you said you would do.
This will turn your customer into a ‘raving fan.’
They will tell everyone how good you are and refer you to others.
Post your services on NextDoor and other local neighborhood apps.
I agree with most of the comments below. You need a website that is optimized and that can be crawled by Google when customers are searching and if running ads you may need to switch up your approach via A/B testing to see which one will provide you more success. I own a Digital Marketing Agency where we specialize in SEO and Paid Advertising and can help you get searched.
