Hi Reddit Community,
I’m working on a SaaS platform concept and would love to get your brutally honest opinions and critiques. Here’s the gist of it:
Concept Overview:

  • A platform where users can share their innovative ideas publicly.
  • Other users can upvote or downvote these ideas, similar to Reddit’s system.
  • Ideas with significant traction (decided by the number of upvotes in 24 hours) enter a “trending” phase.
  • In this phase, the idea is more prominently featured, and a funding campaign kicks off. Here, the community can financially support the idea with donations.
  • The platform takes no cut from these donations.
  • To ensure accountability and prevent misuse of funds, the money is released to the idea owner in stages, upon reaching predefined milestones.

What I’m Seeking:

  • Your thoughts on the feasibility and appeal of such a platform.
  • Potential drawbacks or challenges that might arise.
  • Any suggestions for improvements or additional features.
  • Honest roasts and constructive criticism are welcome! I’m here to learn and refine the concept based on your valuable inputs.
Thank you for your time and thoughts!
Looking forward to your insights and roasts!

Reddit has “roast my startup” and a companion idea subreddit. If they couldn’t find those swiping with both hands, they ain’t finding yours.

A situation where people claim to want truth, but actually want every assumption upvoted and approved. All validation has become getting a go ahead. Not for improvement of business potential and certainly not actualization.

And the random passer-by just isn’t valuable.
