For those who sell clothing, what wholesale suppliers are you using? Where are you getting inventory?

In my industry, it’s customary to stay a week or so and help transition ownership.

A lot depends on who buys it. Are they green or have they owned and operated before.

depends on where you are. Most of ours are US based. We tried dealing with China, but the sizes NEVER matched, returns were impossible, delivery was always late…we have suppliers of clothing, accessories, jewelry, perfume…all US based.

100% this. We got lucky and never had an issue with late delivery, though. But sizing issues every single time with clothes from china.

We found our suppliers by basically getting creative and cold calling… all I’ll say is it was a first time arrangement for both parties. Still use the same suppliers. US only.

If you purchase in China, you need to find a third party to control the product quality. In my opinion, general purchasing agents or transportation companies can help you do this.
