In my 17th year teaching. A little burnt out. I am interested in starting my own business (cleaning, daycare, construction) but am not sure how to begin.

  1. How do I hire and train employees before money starts coming in?

  2. How do I decide how big my small business loan should be?

Really, any tips/advice for a complete novice would be awesome. Just throw all your ideas in the comments!

TIA

If your city or state has a government-run small business information center or equivalent, start with them. They’ll be able to tell you what your local jurisdiction needs that might not be covered in a national-level startup guide.
